-The Spiritual Reality Of The Orgasm

God uses physical things to depict spiritual realities. The most common example of this is in marriage. Almost everyone is familiar with how marriage here on earth depicts the relationship between Christ and the church. Christ is the bridegroom and the church is the bride. The scriptures also share with us a similar depiction with sex, just as it does with marriage. Sex is symbolic of the sharing of the spirit of God with his people. We are one spirit with God when we are in covenant with God just as we are one flesh in the body when we unite in sexual union with our wife in the covenant of marriage. The physical depicts the spiritual.

Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit. 1 Cor. 6:16-17 (The spiritual reality of us being in covenant with God and sharing his spirit is physically depicted in the act of sex in the body with our wife. Thus sexual immorality is the equivalent of betraying God and being in covenant with another false god. This is why idolatry is equated to fornication.)

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. I John 3:9 (The Greek word for “seed” is sperma, from which comes the English word “sperm.” The Holy Spirit is the “sperm” or “seed” of God.)

God created the orgasm. Why and for what purpose? After all, the female orgasm has ZERO impact on procreation. It was God's intended purpose for us to experience this pleasure of the orgasm. What does it depict? It depicts the pleasure God feels when he imparts his spirit to us. God is a God of pleasure. This is the very reason for his creation, for his own pleasure. He wants a freewill relationship with his people because he seeks pleasure. God does not have a partner like he gave to man in the woman. And woman didn't originally exist when the man was formed. Therefore masturbation was the original design of man. But when God formed Eve, then the secondary form of sex with a partner joined that original design. But anytime we reach the climax of orgasm, remember that this feeling of temporary bliss was purposefully designed by God for us to enjoy just as he does when he imparts to us his spirit.
